Calculus is the most important ramification of mathematics. The present
and potential managers of the contemporary world make extensive uses
of this mathematical technique for making pregnant decisions. Calculus
is inevitably indispensable to measure the degree of changes relating to
different managerial issues. Calculus makes it possible for the
enthusiastic and ambitious executives to determine the relationship of
different variables on sound footings. Calculus in concerned with
dynamic situations, such as how fast production levels are increasing, or
how rapidly interest is accruing.
The term calculus is primarily related to arithmetic or probability
concept. Mathematics resolved calculus into two parts – differential
calculus and integral calculus. Calculus mainly deals with the rate of
changes in a dependent variable with respect to the corresponding
change in independent variables. Differential calculus is concerned with
the average rate of changes, whereas Integral calculus, by its very nature,
considers the total rate of changes in variables.
Differentiation
Differentiation is one of the most important operations in calculus. Its
theory solely depends on the concepts of limit and continuity of
functions. This operation assumes a small change in the value of
dependent variable for small change in the value of independent
variable. In fact, the techniques of differentiation of a function deal with
the rate at which the dependent variable changes with respect to the
independent variable. This rate of change is measured by a quantity
known as derivative or differential co-efficient of the function.
Differentiation is the process of finding out the derivatives of a
continuous function i.e., it is the process of finding the differential coefficient of a function.

Derivative is the small changes in the dependent variable with respect to
a very small change in independent variable.
Let y = f (x), derivative i.e.
dx/dy means rate of change in variable y with
respect to change in variable x.
The derivative has many applications, and is extremely useful in
optimization- that is, in making quantities as large (for example profit)
or as small (for example, average cost) as possible.

আসলে একটা বইয়ে বিষয় ঠিক যতখানি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঠিক ততখানিই গুরত্বপূর্ণ লেখার ভঙ্গি। আর লেখকের এই লেখার ভঙ্গিই আমার সবচেয়ে ভালো লেগেছে। নামের সঙ্গে চমৎকার মিল এই লেখায়। লেখক যেন ঠিক গল্পই বলছেন এই বইয়ের মাধ্যমে। যেমন কিছুক্ষণ পরে পরেই তিনি ছোট্টো বন্ধুরা, প্রিয় বন্ধু বলে সম্বোধন করে বাচ্চাদের মনোযোগ আকর্ষণ করার চেষ্টা করেছেন। এছাড়াও যখন বলছেন তুমি কি জানো এ ব্যাপারে আমাদের মহানবী (সঃ) কী বলেছেন? তখন যেন কেবল এই প্রশ্নের জন্যই একটু নড়েচড়ে বসতে হয়। গল্পের মধ্যে ছোট্ট ছোট্ট করে পাঠ দিয়েছেন বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে। এই যেমন আমরা যখন রাসূলের নাম নেবো বা শুনব, তখন বলব সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম। কেমন?
এই যে লেখার ঢঙটা এটা আমার সবচাইতে ভালো লেগেছে। বাচ্চা নিজে যদি পড়তে পারে তো ভালো। আর যদি পড়ে শোনানো হয় তাহলে গড়গড় করে না পড়ে কন্ঠের ওঠানামা ঠিক রেখে পড়লে বাচ্চাদের শুনতে আরো ভালো লাগবে।
শুধুই কি গল্প করেছেন লেখক? উঁহু! প্রয়োজনে কুরআন এবং হাদীসের রেফারেন্স টেনেছেন। যেহেতু এখানে লেকচার দেওয়া নয় বরং গল্প বলা হচ্ছে তাই তিনি প্রতি আয়াতে আয়াতে বা হাদীসে হাদীসে রেফারেন্স উল্লেখ না করে একদম বইয়ের শেষে তথ্যসূত্র আকারে সব দিয়ে দিয়েছেন। আমার মনে হয় এই বইয়ের জন্য এটাই ঠিক হয়েছে।
এছাড়াও বইয়ে প্রচুর ছবি দেওয়া আছে। না কোনো প্রাণির ছবি নয়। বরং নানান দৃশ্যপট আঁকা হয়েছে। এমনকি অনেক অনেক পেইজে জলছাপ ছবির ওপর লেখা বইটিতে এক অন্য মাত্রা যোগ করেছে। এছাড়াও ফন্টটা ভালো লেগেছে। মাত্রাগুলো বাঁকা বাঁকা। ভালো লেগেছে। কোন ফন্টে লেখা বইটা জানি না। কিন্তু অন্যরকম লেগেছে। ভালো।
বইটি কি কেবল শিশুদেরই উপযোগী? আমার তেমন মনে হয় না। হ্যাঁ, শিশুদের উপযোগী করে লেখা হয়েছে বটে, তবে জান্নাত সম্পর্কে যাদের জ্ঞান আমার মতোই নগন্য তাদের জন্যও বইটা উপযোগী।
তবে মানুষ মাত্রেই ভুল। তাই কিছু ভুল হওয়াটা অস্বাভাবিক নয়। আমার কিছু ভুল বানান চোখে পড়েছে।যেমন, দ্বীন। এছাড়াও বেশ কয়েক জায়গায় শোনেনি না লিখে লিখেছে শুনেনি। ঢোকাকে লিখেছে ঢুকা। অর্থাৎ কিছু শুদ্ধ আঞ্চলিক চোখে পড়েছে।
তবে বইটি লেখকের যেমন প্রথম প্রকাশিত বই তেমনি প্রকাশনীরও তাই। এই বইটি প্রকাশের মাধ্যমেই আযান প্রকাশনীর যাত্রা শুরু। তাই কিছু ভুল বানান অন্তত আমার আছে ক্ষমাযোগ্যই মনে হয়েছে।
কেবল এই ভুলটুকু বাদ দিলে বইটা সত্যিই ভীষণ ভালো। আমি বলব এই সামান্য ভুলটুকু বাদ দিয়ে একবার পড়েই দেখুন আপনার এবং আপনার বাসার ছোট্টো সদস্যটির জন্য…
